Arthur J. Quinn (1942-1997) received his B.A. from University of San Francisco and his M.A., Ph.D. in the History and Philosophy of Science from Princeton University. Quinn taught at University of Oregon in 1968 then moved on to become Professor of Rhetoric at University of California, Berkeley from 1970-1997. Quinn was instrumental in reorganizing the undergraduate major within the Rhetoric Department at Berkeley during his tenure as chair of the department. ...
